Agreement
These terms apply to your use of mousetestlab.com ("the site"), run by MouseTestLab ("we", "us"). By using the site you agree to them. If you do not agree, please do not use the site.
Using the tools
All tools are free to use for personal and commercial purposes, such as checking a mouse before you buy it or supporting a warranty request. You do not need an account.
You agree not to:
- disrupt or overload the site, for example with automated traffic, scraping at high volume or attacks on its infrastructure;
- copy the site's design, text or code to run a competing service;
- misrepresent results from the site, for example by editing a report image and presenting it as genuine.
Results are information, not a certified diagnosis
We work hard to keep every test accurate and we publish how each test measures. Even so, a browser only sees what your operating system, mouse driver and mouse software pass on. Browser updates, power settings, wireless interference and remapped buttons can all affect a result.
Results and reports are provided for information only. They are a strong signal, not a certified hardware diagnosis. A report can support a warranty or return request, but the decision always rests with the seller or manufacturer.
Take breaks
Fast-clicking tests (CPS, jitter, butterfly and drag clicking) put strain on your hand, wrist and mouse. Warm up, take breaks, and stop if you feel pain. Jitter and drag clicking can wear out mouse switches faster than normal use.
Advertising and third-party links
The site shows ads served by Google and links to other websites. We do not control and are not responsible for the content, products or privacy practices of advertisers or linked websites. How ad data is handled is explained in our privacy policy.
Intellectual property
The site's text, design, graphics and code belong to MouseTestLab unless stated otherwise. You may link to any page and share screenshots or report images of your own results. Product names and trademarks mentioned on the site belong to their owners and are used only to identify those products.
No warranty
The site is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including fitness for a particular purpose and accuracy of results. We do not guarantee that the site will always be available or free of errors.
Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, MouseTestLab is not liable for any indirect, incidental or consequential loss arising from your use of the site or reliance on its results, including decisions to buy, return or replace hardware. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law.
Changes
We may update the tools and these terms at any time. The date at the top of this page shows when the terms last changed. Continuing to use the site after a change means you accept the updated terms.
